The Assistants feature is set to retire in 2023. You will still be able to use Assistants in older versions of Sketch and via the CLI.
What is happening?
We have decided to retire the Assistants feature later in 2023. Currently, we cannot provide a specific date for when support will end in the Mac app, but we’re providing an advance warning for the benefit of customers who are currently using it.
What happens when Assistants are no longer supported?
You’ll no longer see the View > Show Assistants menu option, the toolbar icon or the user interface for the feature. However, you’ll still be able to use the Assistants feature in older versions of the Mac app and via the Command Line Interface (CLI).
The Assistants feature is not available in the version of Sketch available from the Mac App Store. If you are using the Mac App Store version of Sketch and require the Assistants feature, please download Sketch directly from our website.
Where can I learn how to use Assistants via the Command Line Interface?
You can learn more about Assistants, how to use them, and how to interact with them via the CLI in the following resources:
- Assistants command-line utility
- Developer documentation: Assistants
- GitHub repository for sketch-assistants
- Product documentation: Assistants
